Counselor

[object Object]

With over three years as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a fifteen-year tenure specializing in Substance Use Disorder Counseling, I bring a depth of expertise and compassion to the field of mental health services. My career, spanning more than eighteen years, has been marked by a steadfast commitment to providing exceptional care across a broad spectrum of backgrounds.

My journey has led me through various institutions, where I've practiced my skills which expanded my understanding of the complex challenges faced by those dealing with mental health and substance use issues. I've had the privilege of working closely with at-risk youths and adults, guiding them towards healthier and more fulfilling lives. My training has also encompassed work with couples and families, addressing relational issues with sensitivity and a culturally informed approach.

In both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, I have dedicated myself to individual counseling, always with an emphasis on culturally diverse populations. This focus reflects my belief in the inherent value of every individual and the importance of cultural competence in facilitating healing and growth. As a counselor, I am deeply invested in the well-being of my clients, continually striving to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. I am passionate about empowering my clients to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. Through a blend of therapeutic techniques and a compassionate presence, I aim to foster hope and facilitate lasting change.
